This is damage from my ex's south beach apartment. Couple of cushions misplaced. The ashtray stayed put holding the blanket down.

Thanks for asking.
Did not get to go boating this weekend :(

Got about 6" of rain (and counting), but that is not too bad here because the drainage is good. We had wind gusts to about 45mph. No power outage at my house.

My H240 is on the trailer in my side yard with FW mooring cover. Once yesterday, the bow cover support pole fell over, and I accumulated water on top of the cover in the bow area about 8" deep. Syphoned it off with a garden hose, then climbed in the boat to get the pole stood back up. I was please to see that the boat was mostly dry inside, and only a few onces of water that came through the cover at the bow area.

Still raining and windy today, but back at work as usual.

Rick, that's awful. Not only did the cushion get knocked over, but it looks like the ashes got blown out of the ashtray

Here in Orlando we got a few small bands yesterday afternoon but about 4am last night we got hit HARD with rain. I put a little home made rain gauge out before I went to bed and we got a solid few inches overnight.

As far as wind damage goes? We regularly see 40-50mph with daily summer thunderstorms a tropical storm isn't even a concern to us Floridians. It's the news that sensationalizes everything. In reality it's just an excuse to get drunk.

I've been through these things my whole life, zero concerns are given until the wind breaks the 100mph mark (locally). That's when trees start falling. Rain can be an issue if you're in a low lying area. Land developers loved to build subdivisions by filling in marshlands and when there's enough rain mother nature reclaims. Always do your homework when buying a house :)

It went West, a crap load of rain and a steady wind out East pushed water out. Right now a nice evening, higher than normal tide about 8" front top of the seawall but shouldn't get any higher?
I'll take it.

Haven't been to the boat yet but the 24 hour security told me that the two covers I tied on the boat didn't budge. No flooding in my area we are in a new housing development so we were good. Only damage I can see for me was having to clean up some trash in front of the house because my idiot neighbors put their garbage cans out. Oh yes one of my palm trees lost two palm prawns and that was horrible. The worse disaster almost happened when my neighbors ran out of beer and came to my house with generator gas to barter and hit my supply pretty hard! I went through Andrew and that was upgraded to a 5 and I was at ground zero pretty much, So like Ric says if it's not over 100MPH we don't really pay it too much attention. Honestly I am glad that it went on it's way and didn't cause much damage in South Florida. I hope the Gulf coast fairs just as well.

About 5 million gallons per hour of rainwater is going out to sea from our local spillway. Wish I could send some of that up to the midwest or west were it is needed:
