Two more weeks and construction begins on the storage/workshop....30x50x12 with 12x11 doors...concrete floor with 20x30 covered patio. No more storage unit hassle...can't wait. Can have tow vehicle and boat inside and do maintenance in comfort....will double as BBQ party barn.

Man oh man what I would give, to be able to do that....
Here in Long Island, the good is that we are surrounded with water (although salt) never have to worry about low water levels except tides....
The bad is even with the real estate crash property and property taxes are sky high compared to the rest of the country except maybe California...
The typical boat storage in LI is a tarp if you are cheap and a custom cover if you are not, I had to build a frame to support it to keep it from caving in from snow. People who don't want to bother with either shrink wrap...

Its been a long time in the planning.....I will be doing the plumbing and electrical to save money...the barn builder is from Oklahoma and does great work. I will post pics once job gets underway...hey its all a trade off...I have plenty land to do whatever I want, but its an hour and a half to the nearest lake.

Yep!

I have always kept it in the driveway. At 32 feet long, on the trailer and over 13 feet tall. I would need barn.

Thats awesome... thats so very exciting...

I started to raise the garage at the cottage last week so the boat will fit into it..It was long enough, but not high enough... With the snow here in Canada, I dont want the boat outside, shrink wrapped or not. And to pay for storage is a crazy amount of money. So I feel your excitment to have a place to store your boat and your gear... Cant wait to see pictures....

And the day begun - workers were at the house before sunrise waiting on it to be light enough to see!
