I've had excessive water in my bilge after each trip since I bought my 99' 248 a couple months ago. I drove around the lake one day with my Dad crawling all around the motor looking for the leak and it could not be found. Well today I was at a ramp that did not have much grade to it so I was backing up hard trying to back off the trailer and after I finally got off the trailer the bilge pump kicked on and ran a while. I read some other folks having leaks when they back up so I knew right away I had found my leak. Hopfully I can just tighten the transom bolts and be set. Not sure if they can even be reached with the motor in the boat. I'll investigate further in the morng.
