Are you going to remove the TV when you are underway?? Wont it just slam into the wall with that articulating arm?

The mount has tension bolts, I set it very stiff. Not going anywhere.

FYI, tension bolts do not stay tight for long. We had same type mount on our 282. Had to tighten after every other trip out. Switched it out for an arm with locking lever. It worked much better.
I see a bungee cord as the next "mod" for ricky.

I had a similar mount for mine. I decided to change it after the first time I heard a thud in the cabin. The one I have now, allows me to slide the tv down over the mount plate. That way I can losen the set screw and take it down easy. It is also very secure while cruising.

I can easily swap out it's flat "friction" washers to "locking" washers and change the allen bolts to a hand knob that won't require a allen wrench to loosen/tighten. Problem solved. 100% secure mount for under $20

Cerwin-Vega SX220.2 class D amp is in the mail. Perfect little bugger to run the DB651's to their full potential.

OOps forgot to take pics. Amp install was simple. Ran 10g fused wire to battery hidden (easy on a stingray), mounted amp in cabin bulkhead, plugged in wires, and go!

Took only a few minutes to dial it in pretty dam good. Night and day difference. With the two DB651 speakers you can hear me across the lake now with crystal clear audio. I'm pushing 65w RMS to the Polks (which are rated for the same RMS) and not even turned all the way up my ears are still ringing from testing. Zero distortion. Very good lows/mids/highs.

I might add in a second amp

To run a

Under the rear jump seat with a remote on/off switch so I can shut it off when the boat isn't running to avoid big power draw.

Holding off on the sub, installing smart tabs first. Stingray's Z plane hull is a z piece of shit when you have more then 2 people in the boat. I'm going to name the boat "Slow Bob" cause that's what it does. Virtually every forum member on their site had to install em.

Yeah that's what they all brag about. The hull. I agree it's a really good hull, but did they forget to hire an electrical engineer?

I'll be going back to Four Winns ASAP. It's for sale.

Since you're still doing mods to this one, have you decided to keep it for a while??

I want NADA or close to it (low 20s) and I don't want to sea trial it with a family of 4 in there and it gives the lake better head then a porn video. It porpoises real bad whenever anyone sits in the rear seats. Plus I still gotta use it until then. It rides like crap if there's more then 2 people in it.

Never buy a stingray, ever. Not even if it's free. Built with the best materials possible with exactly zero planning.

Not really a boat mod, but today I installed some Maxsa solar marker lights on my dock. Red and Green for my slip and a yellow one on a post that's impossible to see at night near shore that you can hit. I set it to slow blink. I was using some Lowes brand solar deck lights from the garden section in just white but one recently failed. Since this is on a private lake lighting for the dock is virtually none. Without marker lights on a dark night it's nearly impossible to see where to go.

http://www.maxsainnovations.com/solar_marker_lights.htm

Top quality lights. Good o rings, big solar panel, etc. Much better than the more expensive stuff from lowes.

Fits nicely! You can hear bass 200ft from the boat almost as loud as inside the boat. I think I went a little overkill. I was expecting police when getting the amp initially tuned in.

Hey ric,
did you ever get the smart tabs installed? Maybe I missed that post. If so, did they help with the porposing?

Not yet, I'll install em when I pull the boat out to get detailed. Needs them. Bad.
