Yesterday, I ordered a new West Coast Trailers ALUMINUM trailer for my new to me 2005 FW funship214.........I ordered it with every upgrade they offered and a few custom ones as well.........

So, here's my question............is there any value in my original Four Winns trailer?.........it does need to have the brakes gone through.....they are currently not engaging.......and it's been used in salt water so there is surface rust..........but nothing that appears to be structural..........

So, what do you guys think I should ask for it?




Here is a picture representing what I bought.........except mine will be a tandem axle instead of a triple axle.......can't wait to get it to do some river trips this fall!

What kind of shape is it in, is it al., steel or gavl, how old is it? You say its been in salt its whole life?

I bought from the original owner..........he lived near lake Castaic, CA for the first 3+ years of the boats life......he transferred to a new job location in Oceanside, CA.......so for the next 3+ years he said he went out of Oceanside and San Diego bay......

It is painted steel.........surface rust and the areas in the back where the guides are in the worst shape.......the carpeted guides get wet and drip salt water down onto a flat part of the trailer........it need brakes.........and I'm sure the hubs need to be gone through......if someone wanted to put a couple hundred into it I'm sure it would be roadworthy.......
