Last ride of the season..... Great ride though, incredible colors, and dead calm water. Crappy cel camera doesn't do the colors justice....

What is this "snow" you speak of?

Nah, sure swimming and tubin season is over, but hittin the water in shorts and a sweatshirt/jacket is great. I usually have most of the river to myself, since the majority of boaters have already hauled out for the year, no wake, smooth cruisin. When I venture out on the big lake, its just me, a few fishin boats and sailboats. Love to go out on Sunday with some pizza, Octoberfest, and listen to football on the ole AM radio. And of course, ya can't beat the fall colors round here, hence the reason for this Thread 8)

you got that right no mushheads on the bay this time of year and we can walk our dogs without a bunch of people sitting on the beach at the cove. my favorite time to be on the water. leaves changing, sweatshirts, and Corona in hand. what a life!

Oh wow I take that back, I'm jealous! That usually doesn't happen around here until Dec/Jan

Hey brother, sorry if this topic doesn't thrill you down there in Florida, but for us northern guys, Fall is an actual season we enjoy. No need to crap all over someone elses goodtime.

Always enjoy these Fall threads especially since us Southerners don't get the kind of colors you all do in the North.

Heading up for our annual guys-trip on Lake Mohave next week. Weather should still be nice - warm during the day and cooling down at night.
I'll post some pics when I get back, but you wont see any of the beautiful fall colors...Mohave looks pretty much the same year round: Like a lake in the middle of a desert....

I can't do pics, but last lake day was sunday, winterized on Monday and I saw the first snowflakes Tuesday evening....

Bitter sweet time of the year, sad to see the boat go away but sooooo looking forward to deep powder sled days in the Rockys... First sled trip to Valemount planned for the first weekend of November...

1 month to prep the yard & sleds for winter season...

I couldn't live in a place without defined seasons, Mountain sledding is akin to sea-dooing uphill.....
