A Zinc Saver system is what you really need. We had a system installed on both our 268 Vista and
our 282CR. Never had any corrosion issues or worries.
A Zinc Saver is just a Galvanic Isolator, correct? If so, then I already have one.
My drive has some paint flaking in spots and the beginnings of corrosion. I'm told that it looks very good for a boat that, as far as I know, has been kept in the water for 8 seasons.
Anyway I'm looking to touch up the flaking spots in the spring and make sure that the galvanic isolator and Mercathode systems are working correctly. Came across adding a second controller when searching for how to test the systems and figured it can't hurt. (probably the cheapest thing I've bought for the boat so far
