We just get people calling us from India calling themselves John , Andy or Ric ( it's not you, is it ?). Problems with our windows apparently and hey need to verify our passwords, but our windows are fine and we don't usually need a password to open them ( that was the reply to such a call from my wife !)

LOL Not me! Can't speak for Ric tho. Last week I had Laura at SiriusXM last week. She was fantastic, very helpful, but at the end of the call I asked where she was from and Manila was the answer. But it could have been Ric's FOTW (flavor of the week) answering from the cuddy. lol

We cooked up all that for a buddy to get his wife to be to break it off with him. I think it was while he was supergluing pennies to the TV screen she told him it was over.

That was probably a 10th of the stuff we thought up.

Lumenvox has the market on speech recognition. Every single company you call that has the ability to listen to what you want is using their plugin. I hate speech recognition, that's the most annoying thing in the world when calling a company. I just want a real person like everyone else.

From a technical standpoint? The long drawn out menus to listen to and options to push are to weed out the idiots. If you get a rep and they have to transfer you to the right department? That's just a 2nd layer of screening. Running a call center is nothing but a loss of money, and to keep the call load light and to hire as few reps they can? You get screened.

I've been a bit busy the last few weeks, and the boat has been out of action.

Got an amp from E-Bay last weekend, my Clarion unit died... moisture and shorted out wiring = Boom. Took the new amp, stripped it down and sprayed it with 2 thick layers of conformal coating. Silicone'd up all possible gaps as well. Put it back together tonight and reinstalled it. Works perfectly using the portable speakers in the garage. Oh it is a Rockford Fosgate MD600-4D bridged into 2 tower speakers. I can't test it as the tower does not fit on the boat in the garage so will have to test on the weekend.

I have thought of it - I'll be naming it "50 ways to get your lover to leave you."

Conjures up images of Paul Simon in turkey suit on SNL, in light of today being Thanksgiving and all!

As soon as I figured I did not want to be there - I would quit my job and spend all day on the XBOX and drinking beer. Invite friends over until all late hours of the morning. If that did not work - turn on the crazy. Sell her underwear on the internet. Put cameras all over the inside of the house, broadcast live over the internet. Build couch forts in the living room. Offer to host AA meetings in your living room on the weekend. Paint the house half blue, half orange, and declare yourself Florida's biggest Denver Broncos fan. Glue pennies on random items. Start collecting taxidermy. Collect issues of newspapers and store them in the hallway. She have a favorite TV show? Get cable/lose cable to make it impossible to watch. When she buys new clothes, go out and buy the same clothes in a size larger and a size smaller. Remove the size tags from the correct size and put them in the size too small. Then a few weeks later, after she has been on a diet, switch them for the size way too big. Become an over the top supporter of the opposite political party from her.

Impressive!

Are you the guy who wrote "War of the Roses"?

Nope - all that implies is that if she f*cks with you, you f*ck her right back. It's the difference between standing up and fighting and standing up just to run the other way.
The "like a man" statement implies a respect of a worthy opponent. The only reason I would move out is to be clear of the blast radius.

Being bitter and vengeful just means you care. Love/hate is a fine line. If you care enough to be a pain in the butt, it means they're still on your mind. That's what dysfunctional people do that break up 10 times with the same person in a 6 month period and end up getting married.
