Installed a bunch of new lighting in my house. All the fixtures were nasty 1980's cheap bronze crap and the metal finish was all falling off. Even though I'm renting, screw it I deserve to feel comfortable. I've been trying to buy a house for a year now and can't seem to get a hold on one the market is insane around here. I've been renting this house since 2007 and the owner lives in Miami and doesn't care at all about the place. Unless it's broken, it's not getting fixed. Any cosmetic repairs I do I don't get reimbursed, but it's never felt like a home to me and I can't take it anymore. If I don't buy a house by April I'm going to redo the countertops. I make good money it's a beautiful townhome on a lake and I want friends/family/girls to come over and hang out in my nice house.. not step inside and look at the 1980's falling apart.

The kitchen had a tiny fan in the middle of it, in which all it did was collect greasy cooking smoke and make a mess on the blades/ceiling. The hallway lights were missing their glass covers. The dining room chandler only maybe 3 out of the 6 lights worked and it was NASTY, and the stairway light was even worse. $100 at Lowes for their cheapest contractor lights (in brushed nickel) made a HUUUUUUGEEEEE upgrade on how my house looks. Here's a pic of the stairway. It's a blue glass pendant light. $30 bucks! It was scary as shit putting that in, my ladder is only 5'10 and it's carpet flooring. A buddy held the ladder and I'm on my tippy toes swapping it out. Glad that's over.

You would have to pay me - handsomely I might add - to go on another Carnival cruise. Between the gutter trash that booked interior staterooms showing up at dinner in flip-flops and cut-off shorts, to their idiot children having absolutely no regard for others, the miserable food, and the staff acting like you were invisible - They suck!

Royal Caribbean was much better, have heard that celebrity is good as well.

Carnival is a party cruise, being a local tickets are like $150. Royal caribbean is more for older folks, and celebrity is just better than both combined.

we did a carnival casino boat to the bahamas and it was not bad.. it also was a 21+ sail so that was a plus. now i will say if y'all are frequent cruisers this is a product to help save you lots of money.

http://www.rumrunnerflasks.com/flasks.aspx

i have the "SMUGGLERS REVENGE KIT" http://www.rumrunnerflasks.com/spring-break-cruise-kit-2.aspx and it is perfect. what i do is this.. in my boxers put a canvas strap slim line belt on tight at the waist. Then i hang 3 of the 32oz bags from the belt, and wrap loos masking tape a couple wraps to my thighs. Then baggy wind pants. Cheap cane from CVS. And do a little shuffle limp cane walk with a straight knee. And i will have plenty of liquor to last me a couple days. wife tossed a couple flask size pouches in her braw and panties. We also do one of the big pouches with a nice wine. We bring our 32oz BUBA mugs and mix drinks at the room. saves a ton on the bar bill.. plus i get to drink my good bourbon.

That's way too complicated. This is what I've always done.

Order a bag of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Screw-Cap ... screw+caps

Get some soda in a dark plastic bottle (cause you're allowed to bring soda onboard), dump it out, pour alcohol in, put new cap on.

Done. If you know what you're drinking (like jack and coke) just pre-mix em before you seal, and walk around with a 20oz like a boss.

we tried that with vodka one cruise and the asshole security shook our case of water.

and i like bourbon n water or simply over ice or with a twist of lime.

this is not bad and does the job. but yes a 2 liter of jack n coke pre mixed seems to be a super easy smuggle.

We've used empty saline solution bottles (the stuff for contact lenses) to fill with vodka or rum.
Another concept is to use mouthwash bottles...
It gets checked by security & passes every time!

You see - I prefer not to have to act like an Alcoholic during prohibition on Vacation. I can stay in a 4-5 star hotel, all inclusive in Mexico for the same price a cruise would cost me to fly out and get on board. No issues with the ship rocking too much (our Carnival cruise hit a rough patch and the whole family was sick for 2 days, and we missed a port call to boot - And nothing in return, WTF) And we get free wi-fi and no charge for drinks at the bar. Big bonus - The hotel does not dock our credit card for tips the staff does not earn beforehand.

Didn't realize there was such a wide selection of containers to smuggle alcohol in!

Big cold front coming Saturday, highs in the 50's and lows in the upper 30's expected for most of next week. I'm actually kind of excited, I want to soak in the cooler weather while I can. Unless a miracle happens I doubt we'll hit below 32 this winter.

It's beautiful and sunny here in Orlando. For now. We're going to be slammed by that crap later this afternoon and might get severe by evening.
