OK - so as with anything 'new' we buy in life, it is hard not to think about "how will they change it next year" no matter how much you like what you're getting. Well guess what I found floating around on the net? Some shots of an '09 V358. Initial reaction? I'm glad I got an '08 if the cabinetry and cockpit seating colors are not options . More thoughts in a moment, but first, the pix:

Some observations:
-Obviously, that pale blue is a new color
-That transom seat sure would be nice but never in lieu of the transom locker
-In addition to changing the cockpit seating to a cream color the cockpit countertops are a light color (not as classy as the black IMHO)
-It looks like the gauges are slightly different. Anyone know what those two units are by the Fireboy on the left side of the helm?
-The door to the salon appears to be smoked - probably a smart move
-While I get that the light maple wood in the cabin can make it feel lighter and perhaps more spacious, I personally think it is not as classy as the dark wood.
-Stainless panel on the fridge
-Although we can't see it, I'm assuming they mounted the TV on the bulkhead as they planned to do as the TV that used to be high in the galley is not there
-They eliminated the storage directly behind the settee (and changed the settee itself). It appears that they did this to move the settee further to port and create a bit more space in the cabin - I would miss that storage space. The stairs don't appear to encroach on the cabin quite as much
Admittedly, I like having "the latest" and "the newest" - a bad habit in boating. Based on these shots it's nice to have no regrets (I fortunately felt the same way when Sea Ray introduced the 350DA - nice boat... not for me).
