You've got all the cards. I found my current boat at an RV dealership - they knew absolutely nothing about boats - very motivated to get it off their lot. Best deal ever.

Hope it works out!

The chap is a salty stored outside. Glass faded and all outside fittings rusty. Manifolds look rusty. missing cabin fill in. Interior is nice. Lowest he'll go is 19500. no thanks I can find a fresh water boat for that price.

talking to some friends, they made valid points. A 22ft cuddy will be too big for my lake, would be pointless. The fun of coming home and walking to the dock will be gone cause I'll have to keep it at the marina. I'll go ahead and pick up the 09 stingray for 15,5 saturday and use that this winter. If I still feel the need for a bigger boat in the spring... I can trade in or sell the stingray for more then what I paid for damn sure or at a minimum break even. I'm looking at it as a savings account that I can use and stop bitching as my summer is wasting away indoors. The pros out weigh the cons.

Since I'l well under budget I'll probably go right for the Marine Air and camper canvas. The canvas will help make the boat feel bigger on overnights and it's small enough of a boat where a 6000btu marine air will cool everything.. cabin and cockpit.

I think you'll be happy with the stingray. Congrats and don't forget the pictures when you get it.

I'll think I'll be happy. All my boating buddies like it too. I've measured the dimensions of the inside and re-created it. Tight, but do-able. I'm not claustrophobic and actually like small spaces so i'll be fine. Enough room to lay up and use the laptop, etc. It's fast, very economic on gas, and sexy. If I constantly overnight and use it all the time out on weekend excursions on the river.. then sure.. come spring I'll revisit the idea of a bigger boat. If I don't use it often, then I have the perfect sexy lake speedboat with a stabbin' cabin for the random girls I meet. That's all I wanted when I originally sold my boat to begin with. It's the current girlfriend that got me on the big boat search. Up until i met her my dream boat was a 195 Sundowner...

I'll get a good SS prop and try to get it to GPS 60mph. Stingray rates it to go 57.18mph with the aluminum prop, 1 person, and 1/4 tank of gas. 53mph with 600lb of people (2 dudes/2 chicks). Stingray did a prop test with the same hull/motor (2006 195LR and 4.3GXi) and got it going to 61mph with an SS prop. Woot!

Yesterday she was a keeper and good until she turns 25, today you realize she is a manipulative, and materialist babe in a bikini and you are ready to toss her overboard. Oh to be Ric....

I'm betting this thread makes it to 2,500 views and may make 140 posts !!

Hoping I don't jinx it, let me say: Yay, (no-longer boatless) Ric!

Funny, I noticed the same boat on eBay and came here to ask ric if it was his old boat. Wonder why the guy is selling it?

Im down here looking at the stingray. Its not perfect but I got him to 14k. Needs to be cleaned, buffed, new radio, and trim sensor is broke (causing spotty trim function). Its a 4.3gl not gxi but still did 51mph GPS on factory aluminum prop. After tax tag and title its around 15,500. it is a 18-20k boat. Ill have to invest around 1000 to make it worth that.
